The Ice age was a critical ecological disaster. It was also the beginning of the world we live today. For early humans it was a hard time when many cultures disappeared.

At the time that early humans were confronted by the great Ice Age ecological disaster, there was a proto-Liberal among the Neolithic men. He was a wimpy fellow who refused to hunt animals and mostly stayed back whining among the women.

“Is being snowing for forty days straight and it is all your fault,” he whimpered, “inventing fire and producing all those greenhouse gases,” the proto-Liberal continued, “we need to abandon all of our evil technology and go back to being apes in harmony with nature,” he proposed.

Fortunately, the hunters of that time after giving careful consideration to what the proto-Liberal had to say decided he was worthless and the very next day used him for bait. They killed a polar bear and feasted on it for five days.

Comrade (Bill) O’Reilly is mad at “Big Oil”

He warns that Republicans are on the “wrong side” of the issue and would be soaked come November.

Comrade O’Reilly has his numbers all wrong.

Out of every dollar you pay at the pump for gasoline; fourteen cents go to “big oil.”

Twenty Seven cents go to taxes.

Very simple math: “Big Government” makes twice as much as “big oil” out of every gallon.

Can Comrade O’Reilly mention any other industry were government makes twice as much as the industry? Is very easy to calculate; if the oil industry made $280 million dollars in profits that means they paid almost $600 billion dollars in Taxes.

Our Socialist government, and apparently Bill O’Reilly, will want to keep the discussion of gasoline prices and “Global Warming” separate. So they blame “big oil.”

The truth is that gasoline prices and Al Gore’s Global Warming are intimately related.

The United States elites have decided the American public “over-consuming” the earth limited resources and that the country as a whole has a disproportionate ‘carbon footprint.” You must consume less. Your elected officials consider you, the American Public, an enemy of planet Earth.

“The United States has only 1.6% of the world’s energy supply, yet consumes 25% of the worlds energy production,” says Nancy Pelosi.

She is telling you, you need to cut back.

“We can’t drive our SUVs and keep out thermostat at 72 degrees all the time, and believe the world is going to say is OK,” says Barack Obama

He is telling you, your driving is offensive to the rest of humanity.

Even, John McCain is in favor of Cap-n-Trade which in any form is sure to make the gasoline prices higher.

That is why not only gasoline prices are going to continue to go up, but Congress would make sure that America’s energy production is rationed, curtailed, rather than expanded.

While Congress, and the media, will pay lip service to a future cornucopia of cheap, clean energy, truly they will block any chance of that happening. They are only distracting you like when you play with your cat by jiggling a shiny object.

Harry Reid opposes nuclear power. He has a petition going to make sure we cannot dispose of our nuclear waste in Yucca Mountain.

Ted Kennedy opposes wind generation in his state.

Mel Martinez the “Cuban-American” Senator opposes drilling for oil of the coast of Florida.

The media in turn, has issued front page headlines about Dick Cheney’s having to admit that China is not drilling of the coast of Cuba. Oh yeah, they fail to mention that Yadira Diaz the Cuban minister of Basic Industries states that Cuba will start production by 2011 and that Cuba’s new found oil riches may act as an incentive for the US to lift the trade embargo. After all, we buy oil from every other tyrant except the Castros.

Another omission on the AP wire about Cuba’s oil riches?

Hugo Chavez from Venezuela, is one of the governments, together with Brazil, Spain, and Canada, seeking oil leases from Cuba less than 50 miles from key West. So I guess the headline must have read; “Cheney admits to naming the wrong communist will drill off the coast of Florida.”

Another thing, Cuba owns that “marine exclusionary zone” only because Jimmy Carter, yes, Jimmy Carter, gave it to Castro in the 1970s, back when he was testing the “Obama Doctrine” of foreign policy.

So next time you are swimming off Florida and a blob of tar gets stuck to the bottom of your feet you know whom to thank for it: say “gracias Carter, gracias Al Gore, gracias Fidel.”

Because the truth is that Cuba, just like China, would be given carte blanche to pollute.

China is free to pollute, even when that pollution happens to be carried by the winds into our West Coast. You don’t believe me, ask NASA for the pictures.

You see, is all part of the Global affirmative action policy. Just like in local government us minorities get a break when we can’t speak or write English, to help us overcome the “historical legacy of discrimination.” At the International level we have to be ‘culturally sensitive’ and understanding when formerly oppressed countries such as Cuba, or China, can’t produce goods and services without polluting and even poisoning some of our children.

A special U.N. human rights investigator will visit the United States this month to probe racism, an issue that has forced its way into the race to secure the Democratic Party's presidential nomination.

The United Nations said Doudou Diene would meet federal and local officials, as well as lawmakers and judicial authorities during the May 19-June 6 visit. So it seems he is not going to have a chat with the Reverend Jeremiah Wright

"The special rapporteur will...gather first-hand information on issues related to racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerance," a U.N. statement said on Friday.

His three-week visit, at U.S. government invitation, will cover eight cities -- Washington D.C., New York, Chicago, Omaha, Los Angeles, New Orleans, Miami and San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Race has become a central issue in the U.S. election cycle because Sen. Barack Obama, the frontrunner in the battle for the Democratic nomination battle, stands to become the country's first African American president.

His campaign has increased turnout among black voters but has also turned off some white voters in a country with a history of slavery and racial segregation.

Diene, a Senegalese lawyer who has served in the independent post since 2002, will report his findings to the U.N. Human Rights Council next year. The UN raporteur has not been without controversy and the European Union Human Rights Commission recently stop short of accusing him of promoting an “Afro-centrist” view of Human Rights.

In a report last year he said Islamophobia had grown worldwide since the September 11 2001 attacks on the United States, carried out by al-Qaeda militants. His assertion was received with skepticism from European members who perceive that Doudou “fails to recognize for genuine concerns regarding the rise of Islamic extremism.”

A U.N. panel which examined the U.S. record on racial discrimination last March urged the United States to halt racial profiling of Americans of Arab, Muslim and South Asian descent and to ensure immigrants and non-nationals are not mistreated.

It also said America should impose a moratorium on the death penalty and stop sentencing young offenders to life in prison until it can root out racial bias from its justice system.

Some 800 racially motivated incidents against people perceived to be Arab, Muslim, Sikh or South Asian had been investigated since the September 11 attacks,. Substantial progress had been made over the years in addressing disparities in housing, education, employment and health care, according to a U.S. report submitted to the talks.

Doudou Diène (b. 1941) of Senegal is the current United Nations Special Rapporteur on contemporary forms of racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerance.Diène holds a law degree from the University of Caen (France), a doctorate in public law from the University of Paris, and a diploma in political science from the Institut d'Études Politiques in Paris.

Between 1972 and 1977 he served as Senegal's deputy representative to UNESCO. In 1977, he joined the UNESCO secretariat, where he held several positions including Director of the Division of Inter-cultural Projects. He was appointed Special Rapporteur for racism-related topics by the United Nations Commission on Human Rights in August 2002, replacing Maurice Glele-Ahanhanzo of Benin.

The final document submitted by the rapporteur during his visit to Brazil between on October 17-26, 2005, was accused be discriminatory because the rapporter didn't make any reference about to the Caboclo population of the country, Multiracials of Native and European origin. Caboclos are the most numerous ethnic-racial identity of the Amazon and prevailing in other regions of the country. While stating that "slavery was abolished in 1888. Racial miscegenation that followed between whites, blacks and Indians determined the ethnic and cultural map of Brazil", the report omits the populations of Multiracial identity (such as mulatto, caboclos and cafuzos), classifying all as african-descendants - miscegenation between Natives and Europeans begins in Brazil since its colonization, in the sixteenth century, before the arrive of Africans in the country. The report also referred the proposta of the Statute of Racial Equality, considered discriminatory and mestizophobic by the Multiracial movement, as a project supported "by most political actors." Doudou Dienè had a match with the then Minister Matilde Ribeiro, of the Special Secretariat of Policies for the Promotion of Racial Equality (SEPPIR), who resigned after reports of irregular use of corporate card. Leaders of the Multiracial movement of Brazil were perplexed with what was said with the Doudou Dienè's report, saying that this does not reflect the reality of ethnic-racial country, promotes interests of groups that want to impose on the Brazilian Multiracials the Black identity, goes against the Declaration of Durban and collaborates with the conflict between Multiracials and Blacks in Brazil.

Ambassador Valery Loshchinin, the Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the U.N. Office at Geneva, characterized Doudou report’s on Russia as follows: “A range of problems in the sphere of racism and xenophobia was extrapolated [in the report] that which for our country either don’t exist at all or aren’t really that serious or systematic. There is no need to comment because the report is inappropriate, both in content and conceptually. We do not deny that, unfortunately, there have been incidents of racist or ethnic intolerance. However, to make far-reaching conclusions based on this fact about allegedly dominant tendencies within society and then, based on unproven data and falsifications, to assert that there are certain sins within the Russian political system, the justice system and the education system, is absurd.”

My guess is just as good as anyone; but I believe Republicans are afraid of a mobilized nation. Democrats are too, they just were too weakened by the country’s mood at the beginning of it all.

It is called “balance of power” and it means that if the USA is weaker that does not translate into a ‘hippie peace loving nation’ but into a “stronger someone else.”

When we moved out of Iran the Russians moved in. Who would you know is building those pesky nuclear power plants today? Who invaded Afghanistan?

The only way the US can become like those beloved Socialist Scandinavian countries is if we invent another mighty military power to guarantee our security. But there is none.

Europe can be cute the way they are ONLY because we guarantee their security. Otherwise they would have to cut their vacation time to pay for their military.

Which takes me to the next point; can we really loose this one and survive?

Evidence is to the contrary. When the Soviet Union collapsed we though the world would become most peaceful and we will reap a “peace dividend.” We gutted the military.

Worldwide, the number o casualties from terrorist acts skyrocketed.
 
Starting with Bill Clinton in the middle 1990’s; I am not saying ‘because’ of Bill Clinton. The truth is; we were all in this “go to the mall” mentality.

Our economy is based in oil. Not just your SUV, but the plastics that make our health industry, the composites that make our aeronautics industry, our medicines, our computer chips.

And, as for countries just ‘want(ing) to be left alone?’ Did we stay put after Great Britain withdrawn from our small thirteen colonies? Or are we still expanding?

Turks were at the gates of Vienna once, but Europe pushed back. The question is do we bring Islam into the global economy or do we allow the forces of “turning the clock back” to fester and eventually expand?

Well, George Bush has finally managed to trash the Reagan legacy and to
deliver the reigns of this Nation into the hands of the extreme left. He did
so by emphatically showing he does not believe in opinion polls, yet failing
just as convincingly, to show those who supported him, what is it that he believes in?

George Bush could have been the President of alternative fuel but he elected
to be the President of free prescription drugs. Bush could have been the
President of an American gone nuclear with new, safe and, clean power
generating technologies, but he elected to be the president over a Korea
going nuclear. Bush promised to keep us safe by projecting to the world America's
resolute power but show us to be weak by refusing to mobilize the country to
pursue alternative sources of energy. He could have been the President of
new oil exploration; but he apparently considered more important be a good
friend to Saudi Arabia and Exxon.

Bush could have been the President of strict constructionists in the Supreme
Court but instead he offered us Harriet Miers. As President he developed a
problem of credibility not with those who for six years have accused him of
lying and stealing the election (twice) but with the those who drove him into 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.

It took a right wing full fledge rebellion for the President to withdraw a Supreme Court nominee whose main qualifications seemed being his friend. But worse; with his actions, the President fractured the tenuous alliance of evangelicals, Neo-Cons and Country Club Republicans.

By failing to veto pork projects and not punishing the band of 14 for their attempt to run the war and the country he turned Congress into the Oakland Raiders; not a team willing to win but a collection of talent looking for individual stats.

September 11th, showed us how poor, fragmented and inept our intelligence was. The President could, and ought to, have mobilized the country to reform our intelligence and security services. He could have launched a national movement to attract the best and the brightest to serve in the kind of clandestine force required by the strategic demands of the GWT. The President could have established the National Intelligence University designated after Annapolis and West Point and offer scholarships to Americans willing to study data collection and foreign language. He could have open a national debate on the past policies that had emasculated our intelligence services, for the enhancement of the role of human assets, and to clarify the purpose, scope and value of interrogations by holding hearings in Congress to challenge Democrats to come up with solutions. But instead, he elected to pursue backroom deals, gave medals to George Tenet, allowed for Potter Goss to be turned ineffective and ended up granting Geneva Convention Rights to enemy combatants.

George Bush "stayed the course" but didn't punish Sunnis for dismembering and burning American civilian contractors in Fallujah and allowed the Madhi army to grow to a point where it has become an instrument of Iran to control the World's oil supply. The Republican Congress even failed to declare war or identify an enemy. Terror is not an enemy but a tactic.

Even under the threat of a suitcase nuke or a dirty bomb our borders remain as bare and
exposed as a full nude stripper. The White House has signaled the Democrat's victory as an opportunity to implement the dreaded "guest worker program," a code word for amnesty to illegals. Henceforth, we finally discover what is it the 'common ground' of Bush and the Democrats; their willingness to dismiss and betray nationalist conservatives, to do whatever in their power to depress American wages, create new entitlements and, expand the class of citizens lacking personal initiative who are totally dependant on government spending. Instead of competing for the world's brightest America now competes for the world's most desperate.


Nov 7th choreographed disaster was a referendum on the Iraq war but only because the President failed to offer anything other than the war.

On fiscal policy; the President did not pursue a policy to balance the budget. He continued to allow the Chinese to create an enormous misbalance of trade while stealing our intellectual property and even attempted to outsource the operation of our ports in a time of war.

On Education, while so many minority ridden school districts continue to
fail, the President and the Republican Congress not only failed to pursue legislation to link
federal funding only for those districts that demand teacher's competency, accountability and, parent involvement. But, in addition the Republican Congress failed to pursue tax brakes for parents investing in their children education, or even not to penalize parents being forced to send their kids to private schools because of the dismal failure of the public schools system.

Now, don't we all think that the "religious right" would not have been properly re-paid by granting special tax breaks fo parents who home-school their children or, send them to parrochial schools? Why do you think Republicans did nothing?

When Democrats were given an opportunity to run the country in the midst of
the Depression they pursued policies that granted them a wide public base and forty years of undisputed hegemony.

In just twelve years Republicans have created among their electorate a perception of corruption, increased their lack of credibility, and rise suspicions on their capacity to
govern.
 
Finally, because George Bush elected Dick Cheney to be Vice-President the Republicans seem to have no popular leaders for the next election. Barring the appearance of a new Ronald Reagan the Republican Party is facing a long dark night. But worst still, is the fate of all who see the USA as their only hope. Independently of the label they may want to give themselves (Republicans or Democrats) the UN Globalist party seem to be the one entrenched in power.

Just like his father did in 1993, George Bush has insured the fragmentation and division of the right for the next election.

It started with a guy shooting everyone in a Montreal Community College; it moved to a High School in Colorado, now some poor Amish girls were gunned down by a sick suicidal man. Two years back it was John Muhammad and John Lee Malvo.

Recently, a female school principal ordered the boys in her school not to stand up while urinating.

We have practically abandoned the education of boys to women.

Many fathers are absent from their boys life

Some feminist even question the need for a father.

Fathers mostly don’t know how to raise a man anymore.

The liberal segment of our society absolutely depends for its very existence on the prevalence of a pacifist attitude.

Men and macho attitudes are constantly debased in the culture.

Homer Simpson is the archetype for a father and the metro-sexual man is the archetype of the single guy.

Some Muslims are waging war over what they perceive as an assault on his manly prerogatives; fighting for the survival of a warrior culture.

And we are supposed to be surprised by the fact that a few men have a violent psychotic reaction at not being able to find a socially acceptable outlet to their alienation and sense of being devalued by their civilization?

These acts represent the cowardice of evil doers who strike at girls for their grudge against grown up women, but they also represent the worst effects of a malaise in the culture.

Men used to be able to freely express their emotions while women had to socially suppress their feelings and sexuality. Men used to have space, sites and institutions in which to socialize their aggression and be at ease with the dark side of their nature.

The terms of the equation have swiftly reversed. Currently, the boundary between being a sexist pig and a manly dude is increasingly blurred.

Man suicide is on the rise. We used to be able to put up with a lot more without cracking up. Now there seems to be many who still have the driven aggression while lacking the manly inner strength.

I am just came back from reading a story about a school in Norway were kids are been told by their female principal to seat in the toilet while urinating.

Isn’t it predictable that a public official of a European country should declare the female desire for a neat bathroom as an inalienable right?

What can you expect from a continent were the word ‘cowboy’ is used as an insult?

In North Korea, during the seventies, every day at six thirty in the morning loudspeakers in every block would start blaring patriotic hymnals. Men, women and children, the able and the infirm, the young and the old, absolutely everyone will have to bust out of their bed and form into three rows in the middle of the street where a local communist will lead everyone into a set of aerobics exercises for 45 minutes.

Kim Il Sung, the beloved leader of the nation, just wanted to make sure everyone was in good shape.

Once, Chairman Mao decided that he could increase China’s production of wheat by killing all birds.

So next, the complete nation of China set out to kill every bird in their air space. Labor was stopped in every school, office, factory and hospital. The mass immense of one billion Chinese ripped branches from threes and harassed and annoyed the birds until exhausted they could fly no more. Then, they killed the worn out animals with their feet.

The millions of death, jays and crows, larks, vireos, swallows, chickadees and titmice, wren and mockingbirds were loaded onto trucks and taken to Tiananmen Square were the living God of China presided over a parade featuring several hundred truckloads of death avian enemies of the people. Now, don’t you think that the school principal in Norway feels just a little as powerful as, Mao Zedong,

or even Kim Il Sung?

Sure, she only has absolute power over some school boys for now, but hey, Rome wasn’t built in a day, was it?

Call me paranoid but I worry when government officials seem to be overtly concern with my well being. Somehow, I don’t quite believe their good intentions. I even have the sneaky suspicion that they are testing how far they can go before a few of us will push back.

The best way to test the limits of your power is to tell people to do something completely irrational and see if they will comply.

Every rookie cop knows this; if you are facing a guy with a knife you test your control of the situation by asking him to do something for you. If he complies, you know you can push some more, if he complies further you knows you are on your way to owning him,

It is only when he tells you to shove your two way radio up your lower intestine that you know you have to use force.

Now, if you are a school principal, a female at that, what better way to demonstrate your absolute power than demanding the boys to squat like girls while going to the bathroom? It is absolutely brilliant.

Today they urinate like girls tomorrow they’ll let you tax 90% of their income. There is only one problem with this Socialist shining path to power:

Islamic Imperialism.

The world is full of young, educated Muslims whom daily resent the way in which their governments make submissive and humiliating concessions to countries like Denmark and Norway, who appear so weak their boys don’t even dare to urinate like men.

Truly, a country full of boys that seat to urinate; doesn’t that sound just like the ideal place for a though, God fearing man to turn into his Caliphate? A place that would sell you the rope with which you are to hang them?

What is the value of billions of dollars in soldiers, training and weapons if you are so wrapped in your own prejudices that you will never use them?

This explains why Socialists believe it is absolutely essential to find an accommodation and appeasement with this Muslim swell of rabid Nationalism, simply put; the Muslim’s reaction throws a cosmic monkey wrench into the Socialist scheme of progressive domination over the individualistic West.

The Western path to Socialism rest on Multiculturalism, Political Correctness and Environmental Regulation; these are the tools to turn a warring Europe and a profiteering USA into a global Sweden.

The West cannot be made Socialist unless one; change the culture and,

Condition its populations to always submit to supranational organizations, like for example; the UN,
Do you realize that nowadays it is up to the UN to assess what is the proper response of a nation if your neighbor happens to drop, lets say, 4,000 rockets onto your territory?

That is the function of Multiculturalism.

Political Correctness then is needed to tidily suppress all dissent. Without political correctness the Left has to discuss issues. Thanks to political correctness it only needs to attack dissenters as bigots, sexist, homophobes.

Environmental regulation is essential to insure that the government has an excuse to lawfully expropriate and/or infringe on private property, or declare great stretches of land as ‘collectively owned.’

Socialist want a peaceful, slow (progressive) transformation of Capitalism into a Marxist Utopia. They have renounced violence, in every form, even against serial killers, organized crime and child rapists. Violence was tried and it failed they whine.

Being a Socialist but not a revolutionary can only be justified if one exalts peace as the highest value. When one gets attacked the only valid response is to run to the nearest therapist, or grief counselor.

Only by making pacifism a value above all others can a Socialist justify their contempt for capitalism and at the same time justify their abject co-existence with private property and profit.

Multiculturalism can’t survive war. War requires loving your country more.

Political Correctness can’t survive war. War requires being able to pass value judgments by defining an enemy. Have you notice how hard it is to define not only if we are at war, but even who are we at war with?

As for environmental protection; what are the chances of a country worrying about the fate of the Porcupine Caribou while needing industry and resources to guarantee its very own survival?

That is the real reason why the Left appeases, minimizes and denies the danger. That is why the discourse of the left sounds just like the chatter of the demented. One day the Left refers to the CIA as a shadow organization seeking the legitimization of torture, the very next day the very same CIA is talked about as a bastion of transparency exposing the true reality on the Iraq war.

And notice that such somersaults of passion and logic do not seem to trouble anyone.

It is a bad time to be a Socialist Progressive their plan has no application to the current conditions and a lot of those who they were trying to name as victims are actually trying to kill them.

That is why so many are so desperate that they are hoping the Nazi-Islamist will do their dirty work for them.

Those more opportunistic among Socialist think that a since peaceful evolution towards socialism seems impossible or, at least unlikely, and since they don’t have the courage or desire to try it.

Maybe they ought to hope for the violent destruction of the West at the hand of brown Imperialists.

After all, a weakened poorer West may find it has no alternative but to wrap itself into rationing, legalism and regulation and that it is the Progressive Socialist specialty.

 

     

Liberal wisdom is that government agencies have no other goal but to serve the public and that if they often fail to do what they were created to do, it is only because mean, selfish rich people refuse to give them seventy percent of their earnings.

Today I had the misfortune of having to visit the Hollywood Office of the California DMV. My experience of that visit completely justifies why the term “California DMV” has become synonymous in the pop culture, with the kind of Kafkian, petty, vindictive, de-humanizing bureaucracy whose operating principle is that taxpayers are but an excuse to provide them with salary, and other employment related benefits and perks.

Allow me to brighten your day with my account of how our inept and unhelpful government bureaucrats, can put their irrational motivations to the purpose of brilliantly wasting everyone’s time:

The reason for our visit was my son’s driving test. We made an online appointment days in advance. We arrived seven minutes late and joined the line of customers under a sign that says “Appointments Only.” The ‘helpful’ and ‘bright’ young woman directing customers like laboratory rats through a maze gave us a form to fill out.

We returned to the line ten minutes later; smart form filled in hand. We were given a cue code composed of a letter and three numbers brilliantly printed on paper ribbon, Whoa! Spiffy technology; patiently we waited for our combination to be called like in a bingo parlor. After a while (it was a good day) a robotic voice called our code directing us to a window where we were asked a few question and solicited to produce a number of documents by a young man. Still no test.

Eventually we were told that the previous DMV employee, “the person in charge of directing customers to their destination” had completely mislead us, that we were on the wrong window and that we needed to go to ‘window 20’ to be processed.

But what about the orderly line, the computer coded printout, the online appointment? The robotic voice? Was it all for nothing?

Thinking this to be just a minor inconvenience we march to the side of the rat maze, where ‘window 20’ was located, still thinking we had a pretty good chance of accomplishing what we came for. Of course, we were just being naïve; upon arriving at ‘window 20’ we were told that we had missed our appointment because we were ‘late.’

I tried to reason with the person at the window by explaining that we were ‘late’ only because the person in charge of the rat maze was of no help to us poor guinea pigs. Foolishly I failed to notice they were all not adversaries but accomplices. I have suddenly entered the California driver’s Penal Colony. The Drivers License Devil’s Island, not the department of Motor Vehicles but the Gulag of Motor Vehicles.

The Satanic Principality manning Psy Ops at window 20 rather that being remotely helpful promptly questioned my veracity and applied full force the four basic corporate principles of the California DMV. One; “remember always to be oppositional and defiant to your clients.” Two; “always make your decision prior to listening to the evidence.” And, three “everyone is guilty even after they prove themselves innocent.”

Our conversation was certainly too Byzantine and surreal so as to try to repeat it here, but it generally spun around her attempt to establish a time line in support of her impulsive and now irrevocable decision. I tried –unsuccessfully- to defuse her antagonism by stating that I was willing to admit part of responsibility for our tardiness but wanted to know if the Department was going to offer any relief for sending us with the wrong form to the wrong window? Superciliously she put us aside and said she would have to talk to her supervisor.

Then she continued to process other clients and line up their petitions ahead of ours. Rejecting some of them at random to contribute to the general confusion and chaos of the place; we witness one person being rejected for not having a vehicle registration and another accepted without vehicle registration. One lady was sent packing for bringing to the test his auto insurance policy but not his “evidence of insurance policy.”

I was confused, isn’t the ‘evidence of insurance’ card something created so that you don’t have to drive around with the whole bloody insurance contract in your globe compartment?

Then after a good while she again acknowledge our presence as low mortals in the presence of a deity, affirming that ‘appointments were not guaranteed’ and that we have no recourse but to go to the end of the line and wait.

Until then, I have just thought she was blunt and stupid but from that point on I gain insight on the meaning of being in the presence of pure evil.

This may come to you as a surprise, but sometimes I suspect that petty government officials have not the best intentions for their customers, that they are not often animated for a desire to serve the public but instead by a lust for brandishing whatever minuscule power they believe to be endowed with, against those poor souls who seek their counsel.

This is in contradiction with the Liberal theory of a helpful and caring government. For example the DMV does not even have a formal process for citizens to complain against the arbitrary ineptitude of its cadres. Talking to an office supervisor is just that; talking. The citizens of California have less rights with respect of their DMV that those enemy combatants at Camp Gtmo.

We were not surprised by our experience; the real surprise would have been to find someone wanting to be helpful in the California Penal Colony for drivers since their workers have nothing to gain by being solicitous and professional. If you doubt my claim I urge you to conduct a simple internet search with the following key; “California DMV+ h-e-l-l.” You will find it produces 280, 000 results.

Knowing like I know that state employees live in a Soviet time warp where they are not in the least accountable for their actions I do not believe that a simple administrative process may produce significant change.

Not do I believe that those civil service rejects vegetating in the halls of vehicular larceny are going to be embarrassed into providing better service by this post. I haven’t noticed them to have any pride or sense of accomplishment in their work.

I just though people may benefit from learning the proper rules of whatever sick administrative games we become unsuspected participants of once we need to renew a license, obtain an ID, move from another state, or whatever other false pretenses they use to lure people into their rotten establishment.

Today, I have the privilege of playing the “You are late” game, but I understand there are many others they play. For example; the “I didn’t tell you but you are missing a document game,” or the “we can’t verify you are who you say you are” game, “we only accept that form you don’t happen to have and none other” game, etc.

It seems the public offices are an adult arcade with the general purpose of increasing the amount of work and effort dedicated to the simplest of tasks while forcing the client to have to come back and suffer as much aggravation as possible; evidently an accomplishment made only possible by a highly developed Socialist Society.

Here is a question; why is it that even after the crashing fall of the Soviet Union there are still so many politicians in our country implementing the old Soviet model?

And another; why don’t we just privatize the whole thing?
